ack, i know how that goes. my 'hiatus' turned into me lurking silently and not really going anywhere, anyway.

ahaha DO IT. 69. and tell lucky 69 just what they mean to you.

i, unfortunately, jumped ship a little early because abrams did the same, and i don't know. it felt a little ridiculous at apo. i'm going to have to play catch up someday, though, because i have desperate urgings for sark/syd. or syd/vaughn. or sark/vaughn. or sark/syd/vaughn. because i'm odd.

anyways.

he! thank you - i stole it from [livejournal.com profile] iconomicon, who has simply genius icons. and strange ones. and pretty ones. and more strange ones.

Dude! I have like 4 "DUDEYES,!"s for that comment. *laughs*

So ... exactly. My hiatus turned into me trolling my lj tv/fandom filter things and making a pathetic attempt not to comment on all my flist's entries, and spending lots of time woe-ing and being all introspective. That was not the plan. Stupid, stupid brain. *smacks it* I should have had them suspend my account for 6 months or something.

HA. Okay. 69 it is. And the 69th person gets dirty Office-themed cupcakes sent to them ;)

Me too, actually. I stopped watching before the last season, but i still consider myself a fan because i was so obsessed with it before then. I heard the last season was a bit iffy - the only ep i watched was the finale, and i wasn't all that impressed. I LOVE Balthazar Getty though, so i'll have to go back and watch them all eventually.

You said sark/syd/vaughn and my brain exploded a little. Sark, man. So hot.

I need to get myself some more randomly amusing icons. At the moment my brain won't let me upload anything that isn't Prison Break. *snort* And omg, 'you have died of dysentery'! I nearly bought that shirt! Hehehehe.

[identity profile] fireworkfiasco.livejournal.com 2007-06-14 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
isn't it sad how, when you're trying to step away, all sorts of stuff starts happening, and you have to troll, and that leads to more trolling, but you don't want to comment, because you said you were on hiatus, but then again, you want to speak up - and yes. i'm babbling.

anyways. YAY for 69. you should advertise. ;)

i remember my alias addiction days well - it was the first show that i had to watch, every sunday. the cliffhangers would leave me jittery and excited for the next week and it was fantastic. it was the year of lauren that i started to get iffy, and i think i made it part way through apo before i had to call it a day. (i think it started when i fumbled an episode and never managed to catch back up.)

oh, jesus did i love david anders. when i found out he was from oregon, strange things happened to me. he's from oregon. and yet his accent. and the hair. and the yum.

i NEED that shirt. for serious.

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
YES omg. And part of the reason i took the hiatus was because i wanted to get through some stuff on my own, without input, but then all this random bullshit started happening and i'm like ugh i have no one to talk to. Lol. You babble? We're going to get along juuuust fine ;)

*snort* And then cut people off at 69 and be like, yeah, unless you can come up with a better number for me, then no. No friending for you.

Oh me too. I fucking loved it. And hello, the cast commentaries? BEST THING EVER (well, only marginally behind the Bones commentary, because that pwns all). I can't say i was a big Lauren fan, and all the APO shit was a bit dodgy. (That's what happened with me and Lost - i was unimpressed with one ep, i missed the next one for a random reason and then *bam* i just stopped watching.)

He's just so, so sexy. I loved the fake accent that wasn't fake, but I was like, omg, no, speak IN YOUR PROPER VOICE - YOU CAN'T BE AMERICAN, IT'S NOT AS EVIL!SEXY.

I've gotten a couple from them - the pirate/date one and the second amendment one, which is quite possibly my favourite shirt EVER (bear arms! hehe). Or, no, actually, i think that'd have to be my 'ain't no party like a scranton party' shirt. Hehehehe. Oi, i need to get myself a life. *headdesk*

[identity profile] fireworkfiasco.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
yay for babbling. i tend to ramble, and then delete, because that's how i roll. so, i will try to refrain from abusing the backspace key around you so that you can catch the full affect of my run-on sentences and things. because i do tend to go on terribly.

hold contests and things and those who win can be in the hallowed 69 and those who do not - well. it's best not to mention them, now is it?

ack, i need to go back and watch the first two seasons again, just for the ust and the collapse of sd6 and the cliffhanger that was freaking fantastic. both of them. it was the follow-through on the second that was iffy.

and aye! i can't get over his accent-that-wasn't. funny story - i was looking up shots of him for a meme i was doing one night, and my sister had charmed on in the background, and he was suddenly guest-starring. it was a creepy moment in my life.

ahaha i need 'you can't fire me! i don't work in this van!' as a shirt. and a 'nun chucks' one. and yes, i need to update my wardrobe like whoa.

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2007-06-17 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, i hear ya. Sometimes i'll write and entire entry and then be like ... you know? Too babbly. *delete* You definitely need to curb the backspacing around me though, cause run-on sentences and 45 line paragraphs? Win.

Hahaha. That would be so awesome. We should start a 69 community, and not tell people what it is, just that they need to join. Cause it's 69. *snort*

S1/2 will forever stay at the top of my list. Jen Garner was SO fucking awesome. And just ... everything about it was great. Vaughn. Dixon. Marshall. How i loved S1 Marshall. He got a little bit weird towards the end there, lost a bit of the funny. Yeah, i think we're basically on the same page with Alias, people started calling shark at the end of S2 and i was like 'WHAT?! how could you POSSIBLY say that after that cliffhanger? After this season? IT WAS ALL SO GOOD!" And then is sort of started to suck a bit. Grrr.

HA! I love that sort of shit. Like when you're home sick and sitting on the couch all day flipping through 200 random cable lifetime movies and you end up seeing everyone from one of your current shows, only they're all like 15 years old. Good times.

Hehehehe. I want 'Shut. It.' on a shirt. And some part of the Harvey-computer speech. Lol. I'm so looking forward to getting myself a new winter wardrobe. Though honestly, i'll be saying that until it's no longer cold and then i'll be like, oh well, maybe next year.

And now ... i'm going to go and study. Or pretend to study. So that when i fail both my science exams i can be all 'what? but i studied! i opened books and looked at things! i understood nothing! i am outraged.'

[identity profile] fireworkfiasco.livejournal.com 2007-06-17 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
i'll try to babble for you then, if you'll enjoy it. i've been known to post whole comments that are completely add and full of errors and attention shifts and pov changes and things without even thinking. i'm just that fantastic.

well, 69 is an awesome number. 'tis kevin's favorite.

dude, now i want m&ms.

i remember getting hooked in the middle of s1, i believe. and then counting down the days until it was released on DVD. playing catch up was fun -- i remember how impressed i was with that two-parter, 'the box'. and i was okay with the daddy issues. usually, in a show with ust and action and stuff, i don't like the family mucking things up. it just seems overdone. but i liked jack. for serious.

ahaha, in my other [confession: i have, like, 9] fandom, they inform people of when people from firefly are going to be on tv/radio/theatre. it's kind of stalkerish.

ahaha the snow will be melting and you'll be like "JUMPERS FOR THE WIN." and we'll all point and laugh.

study like it's 1999! no wiki! ;)

ps - are you posting now that you're back from hiatus? because i haven't seen a one of them. :(

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2007-06-18 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
I do, i do indeed enjoy it. Sometimes i have too much caffiene and i get all Gilmore-Girls-esque-babbly and make absolutely no sense and get really aggravated that no one understands me and just stand around waving my arms and making noise. Like right now. I've already have 3 coffees and 2 diet cokes. If there was anyone around i'd be flailing and honking and beeping. But alas, i am alone. *single tear*

It is. It is the most awesome of numbers. My student number has 69 in it. Hee. Every time i write it on a form or whatever i'm like, hee, 69. *degenerate*

Oooh. I miss m&ms. And gummy bears. Oh woe, the gummy bears.

I started right at the beginning of S2, my best friend was obsessed with it and i was like, fine, FINE, i'll watch it this season. And i saw one and was completely hooked. I think the 1st ep of S2 was my favourite, i loved the beginning with the music and the flashbacks and all the adrenaline (and therapist lady! who is now everywhere! it creeps me out, she keeps popping up in my shows. she's stalking me) and now i want to watch it. *slaps self* Jack was probably my favourite character, so you can imagine how much i DIDN'T love the finale. BASTARDS. I was like, dude, send Vaughn, send some random lackey, DON'T send spy!Daddy.

Hee. 9? Do i have 9? Let me see. I have: Prison Break, The Office, Gilmores, Alias, Grey's, Weeds, Bones, Lost, House (though not so much lately). Ooh! I do. I'm sure i have more than that, but those are my psycho-obsessed ones. Especially Prison Break and The Office and Weeds.

So, you're a firefly fan, and you have the nathan icon ... can i assume you watched Drive? ANGERED, FOX. VERY VERY. *kicks*

Ahaha. Totally. But for some reason we always over-air-condition our lecture theatres at UNSW, so i can still wear jumpers and sweaters all year round. HAH. I outsmart the weather. Or myself. Or something. *coffee*

*SNORT* Study like it's ... 1999? 1999 i was living at the bottom of a Gin bottle. Also doing my HSC. Now my brain is like, 'what? i should study like that? okay!' Lol. I will study as soon as i finish this comment. *nods*

ps - well, see, i'm not technically OFF my hiatus. Oops. You're just so awesome that i couldn't shut up, and i've gotten caught in this giant comment-spam conversation. Hehehe. I've got my two finals tomorrow and Wednesday, and THEN i'll be off hiatus. I did post something random the other day though ... huh. Fucking livejournal. And the reason you didn't see it was because i forgot to add you to my flist. Ooooh, i'm so good. *adds*

[identity profile] fireworkfiasco.livejournal.com 2007-06-18 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
i've been known to switch topics in the middle of a sentence. i have serious conversation add, i think, because i can't always focus on the thread of what's being said, and i piece together a mishmash of topics and things and nothing really relates to anything else because i'm basically insane. so. knowing that you're willing to decipher the madness makes me glow giddily.

...dude, i did not know that giddily was a word.

oo, i wish my student number had 69 in it. if it had any interesting number at all, though, it would probably have to be 666. like, 1166611. that would kick ass.

gummy candy ftw. i have a sweet tooth, too. and sugar buzzes are the definition of me, i think. i dunno. tonight, at work, at the video store, i had raisenettes and sour worms and a wonka bar. :X

i had a friend in my english class who was addicted to vaughn the show, and every monday we'd look at each other and go "OMG DID YOU SEE - ?" and then the teacher (mary smith, for serious) would glare at us and we'd go back to flinging notes at one another squealing over vaughn's bum the cliffhangers and plot development.

lemme see - what fandoms am i in? office, firefly, hp, dr who, house (barely), psych, alias, aogg... and i adore peter pan. ahaha, half of those aren't even fandoms. just addictions. anyways.

good! study like that and you're sure not to care how the exam comes out. mission? accomplished. (i wanted to type 'decimated' but i didn't know how to spell it. and then i looked it up. but i'm too lazy to erase accomplished because it took me several tries to type that correctly.)

ahahaha HIATUS BREAKER. FOR SHAME. no, i understand the allure. especially of comment spam such as this. it's what i'm good for.

AND OMG WHAT. NOW I AM OFFENDED. FORGOT TO ADD ME? HOW EVER SHALL I GET OVER THIS ATROCITY?

...over it. ;)
