Lmao. Well, i may or may not be putting off study by replying. Actually, i'm totally putting off study - i have a chem mid-term tomorrow ;) And after replying, i'm going to put off study some more by going on a cross suburb hunt for diet coke. And then i'm going to watch tv. Good times, good times.

Omg. I don't think i have a single West Wing fan on my flist yet. So. Freaking. Cool. And Sports Night! *flails* And god, i cannot stop watching The Office. It's insane how obsessed i've become in such a short time.

Combined uni degrees are procrastinatey-love, aren't they? What are you taking?

Friended! ♥

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
So, what you're saying is that we are both just enabling each other?? Good times! Hee, clearly you have perfected the art of stalling study!

No West Wing fans yet?? That is all kinds of wrong! TWW was my first big fandom show! And Sports Night = awesome! Have you watched any of Studio 60 yet? Heh, I SO understand what you mean about The Office - I only got into in June, and it was all downhill from there. I am officially in love with my season 2 DVDs!

Heh, totally. Commerce/Science, with a diploma in modern languages, just to be extra crazy. Should be graduating next year. Still no real idea what I want to do. *in denial*

♥!!

Ha. I LOVE being an enabler. I'm considering baking in lieu of studying. I'm thinking ... brownies, maybe. *taps chin*

I know! Josh/Donna was probably my first big 'ship obsession. *nostalgic* I've seen the first 3 of Studio 60, and i REALLY like it. I love the Matthew Perry/Bradley Whitford dynamic - they're so sweet. And, oddly, Amanda Peet doesn't piss me off. Usually she does, but i really like her character in this.

I think this (The Office) is the fastest i've ever gotten obsessed with something. It's fairly disturbing, but it seems to be a fairly common occurrence ;) Oooh, dvds. That's next on my list.

Ooh, commerce? Yikes. :P Wow, i'm not graduating for ... ever, really. Two years until i finish my undergrad, and then there's 4yrs of grad and ... there's and end somewhere, i'm sure. *laughs*

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I want brownies! Well, I actually want lunch, but I'm sitting here in a computer lab instead. Ha. Clearly working...

Josh/Donna WERE my first big ship. Love! MP and BW together sound like they would be awesome. Saw a clip of them together when they were doing a set tour thing, and they were just hilarious. Oh, Brad. Lots of people seem to have gripes with Amanda Peet, but I've never really minded her. Oh, should I ask about your spoiler policy too before I talk some more?

Was the first time you had watched an episode seriously when you were in Melb and Emily got you hooked?? Because, yep, that's pretty intense! Even I worked up to it a little. DVDS ARE LOVE! [commentaries are love!]

Heh, that was me being pragmatic! And I'm talking about undergrad too - I'm thinking of doing some postgrad stuff, but just want to at least finish something!

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
I could mail them to you, but it's getting pretty hot outside, so that could get ugly. Heh. Everyone would end up with brown mail. Funny.

I think the WW set must have been so amazingly fun to work on, they were such an awesome cast. Allison Janney wins at everything. She needs to get a new series, cause i'm going to miss seeing her every week. *mopes* (Also, Victor Garber - i miss my spy!Daddy.)

I'm not even sure why i didn't like Amanda Peet, i just ... had a thing. Maybe she was in something else and i didn't like her? Who knows. Hah. My policy? On spoilers? They are ♥ ♥ ♥

Um. Em brought the dvds to the hotel, and we watched the first one probably ... early afternoon Saturday. And i was instantly hooked, and we watched the entire second season in one long run. I started downloading eps Sunday afternoon, and had everything by the end of that week, i think. So, fast. Super super fast ;) (Commentaries? Please tell me there aren't cast commentaries, cause if there are i'll have to go and buy it right now.)

I wish i'd been pragmatic. I was more ... procrastinate-y. I could be halfway through med-school by now if i'd just stopped assing about. *curses* Still, i'm getting there. It's all good. That's me trying to be optimistic and not panic about how fucking old i'm getting ;)

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hee. I'll take a brownie miss for the good of everyone else's mail. What a sacrifice I make!

I know!! I love casts which clearly love working with each other [same goes for The Office] I thought I heard a rumour that she was going to do a comedy show - and didn't VG have a new legal show or something? Ha, could I be more vague?

Heee!! That's my policy too! I was just going to mention how they are writing in AP's pregnancy into Studio 60 plot - interesting...

Heeeeeeee!! Seriously?? That is awesome. Awesome, I tell you! And ha, um, there are cast commentaries - 10 in total. Some better than others, but basically, so so so good! Jenna and John are awesome when they are together too - teaser. [I think commentary for the Client or possibly the Secret... Jenna: And then we made up. John: Made out? Jenna: Made up. That's another episode] Me? Obsessed? And 2 hours of deleted scenes, including some heartbreaking Jim scenes from The Client and Booze Cruise [eeep, he has to make a toast for Roy and Pam] Yep, I could go on for hours. Seriously.

But I've never really known what I want to do. Gah. Most of my friends are almost graduating with their med degrees! Yay for optimism! And hee, I think I'm about the same age as you, so I can relate...

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2006-10-20 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Lol. You're very brave. I'll eat extra brownies in your honour.

Oh really? *intruiged* Omg. Allison Janney rumours that i HAVEN'T HEARD?! What is up with the world? I heard something about Victor being in a new show, but i never actually saw anything.

Um. Omg. I'm a fuckwad. It's called 'Justice', and it's been on for ages. I'm so observant. And hey, Kerr Smith! Hee.

AHHHHHZOMG CAST COMMENTARIES. You should NOT have told me that. I'm the biggest cast commentary whore EVER :| I'll be ordering them tonight. Someone needs to create a community where you can download commentaries :(

It took me forever to finally admit what i wanted to do. To myself, that is, most of my family/friends still don't know. I'm not big with the sharing. *denial* Omg, we're old. Lmao. It doesn't bother me so much until i realise that i'm sitting in class with a bunch of 17/18 year olds. *sigh*

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
My computer is being idiotically slow recently. What's up with that? I hope you stocked up on yummy brownies!

I thought it was for a CBS comedy or something, but I don't think anything came of it since pilot season came and went... Yep, Justice was the one I was thinking of. Oh, have you seen any of Ugly Betty? I keep reading good things about it.

Heh!! I adore cast commentaries like nothing else. Gah. And The Office ones are so awesome, so I hope you got busy with the ordering. Mmmm, John Krasinski leads the cast in singing the theme song. Nuff said.

Heee. Yeah, mid-20s. How did that happen?? And yes, that's when I feel oldest! Or when I'm working with 15 year olds at work asking about my love life. Heh. Good times. Um, I think I'm going to have to comment on some of your latest posts so that I stop spamming your FO post!

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 10:37 am (UTC)(link)
I think it had a season. Or at least part of one. Imdb had like, 10 episodes up. I'll have to look into that. I haven't seen any of Ugly Betty, but i've been hearing good things too. Though seriously, i do NOT need another show to watch. *eyeroll*

Omg. I cannot tell you how much i LOVE cast commentaries. The Alias s1/2 commentaries? Seriously THE BEST THING EVER. Totally better than the actual show. *laughs*

Mmmm, John Krasinski leads the cast in singing the theme song.
Um. OMFGFTW. I won't be able to order them for a few weeks! I had to fork out a bunch of cash for stupid stuff today, and now i'm completely broke. *cries and cries and cries* Maybe i can bribe Brooke and get her to burn what she has until i can find the cash to hit amazon ;) MUST HAVE NOW. I have finals coming up, i need something to save me :|

Oh i KNOW. I'm sure i was 16 last year. I've been doing a lot of introspective 'omg how did i get here what have i been doing for the past 10 years?' type thinking. *frowns*

Hee. But spamming here is upping my comment count! So people will be like, 'whoa, she's so popular, i must friend her immediately'. *snort*

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, cancelled already?? US tv is so brutal - I always think about all those filmed pilots which lead to nothing. Heh, um, I didn't need a new show to watch like 10 shows ago. Woe. I rationalise it by telling myself I really only have a couple of shows that I am crazy about though. And America Ferrera is in it, and she is awesome. Um, I may or may not have seen here in Sisterhood of Travelling Pants just because Bradley Whitford was in the movie...

Heee!!! Alias season 1 finale commentary = ♥ ♥. SO much. VG randomly disappearing. Michael Vartan talking about how his stubble irritated Jennifer Garner's face and he had to shave? Awesome.

*pets* You'll get them - and if you get them post-exams, all the more time to indulge in them, guilt free! And seriously, I'll just keep randomly blurting out commentary stuff because it is all so awesome. Heh.

Yeah, I do that introspective thinking in small doses or else it will just completely freak me out.

HA!! Good point. Don't say I didn't warn you...

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 11:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well i'm not sure if it's been cancelled, but i mean, i haven't heard anything about it. Imdb says that it's still in production, so... Confusion. Lol. That's as far as my brain is going to go tonight.

Brad Whitford was in that movie? You mean i have to watch that movie? Goodgoddamn.

OMG! And everyone mocking VG about his lack of prop ability in the s1 finale. That was so fucking funny. And then Getaway(?)in s2, with Greg mocking MV about his after shave. *snort*

*grabby hands* WANT NOW. I sooo have no patience when it comes to stuff like this. Lmao.

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Heee. US TV confuses me in general - with their sweeps and hiatuses and everything.

Ha! He plays America Fererra's dad - and it's all girly angst, coming of age - you know the drill. But Brad is still gorgeous, and well, he wears tennis shorts. Ha, just to grab your attention :P

Heeeeeeeeeeee!! Yes. 'Kay, so have to watch again now. Along with everything else.

Patience?? What does that word even mean in relation to fangirling? *cannot comprehend*

[identity profile] bertiebob.livejournal.com 2006-10-21 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think Brad could ever be anything but gorgeous. My Studio 60 love is slowly becoming obsessive, because he and Matthew Perry together are 10 different types of cute. Tennis shorts? o_O I'll be renting that tomorrow, then. *blinks*

I'm tempted to run back up to the other house and get it. Lmao. It's such a nice little movie. Actually, now that i'm thinking Meg/Tom i want to watch Sleepless. Heh. It's only nearly midnight, i could totally watch both ;)

Lmao. Patience sucks! It's what is forced upon lowly fangirls who have no money. *pouts* I'm going to go console myself with Casino Night :P

[identity profile] julester1.livejournal.com 2006-10-22 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
I am waiting for it to air here, but am loving that everyone loves it! And yes, they have the best chemistry, and just love. I am getting incoherent! HA! Shallow always gets me in the end :P

Tell me you got some sleep - have we had this conversation before [has it really only been like 4 days since I first talked to you?]

Heh. Casino Night is my idea of the perfect episode. Seriously. Love. And Jen icon! OMG, we haven't even started on House!Love....
